ONE SHOT for your DREAM GIRL

Posted by Unknown at 20:41 0 comments
I swear I will stop trying to be funny one day.

Well, this month has been eventful (sort of). After my first two day hike we had Carnival (which went as usual- I stayed home for five days and nothing pleased me more than the fact I didn't have to see anyone at school for almost an entire week), and then we had Valentine's Day (I got chocolates from my dad...that's it). But then B.A.P released their highly anticipated album and seven minute music video! I have to say I was very impressed!! Is B.A.P still considered a rookie group? Either way this music video was amazing! Hell, the entire album was!

Punch - This song matched its name, as while listening to it I felt very ready to fight someone. Except I would get beaten up horribly, so I won't be doing that any time soon. At times I thought it sounded like a training song they would use in Mulan or something. As much as I love B.A.P's Stop It, songs like this and Warrior are so powerful you just have to love it. You see a lot of new groups going for a cute image, but I really appreciate B.A.P's strong vocals and dances they've been giving us lately.

One Shot - Another powerful song, and the title track of this mini album. I have said this before, but I'm saying it again - B.A.P ON A BOAT WAS JUST ABOUT THE BEST THING. LIKE WHEN I FIRST SAW THAT I KNEW THE MV WOULD BE GREAT. THEY CANNOT GO WRONG WITH A BOAT. The music video has a story line, which I loved. But I liked the first ending (where everybody dies) way more than the second one, but that's just my opinion (that backstabbing little shit should've gotten shot multiple times >_> they freaking stole money to save your lying ass <_<). At first I was a little skeptical about a 7 minute kpop video, but B.A.P did not disappoint!

Watch it here-

Rain Sound - I know some people didn't really care for this song, but I actually really liked it. I'm not a fan of slower songs (and I did not care for this music video at all really) but the song itself was really pretty. Kind of sad, but really pretty. It sure as hell isn't a Stop It or a One Shot but B.A.P still did a really good job with it. They are quite a flexible group, music wise, and I really admire the fact that they try new things. I hope to see more of this in the future, B.A.P.

Coma - I LOVE THE FIRST FEW SECONDS OF THIS SONG. Actually I love the entire song, BUT THE FIRST FEW SECONDS OH MY GOD. I think this is my favourite song off the album. The chorus isn't anything spectacular, but the verses really hold my interest. Plus the rapping parts! The random female line though.....what? I don't understand, B.A.P, why is she only singing one line? What was the point of that? I am so confused....

0 (ZERO) - I think this song is right up there with Coma for me. This one was definitely the most catchy out of all, which is something I greatly value in songs. Actually this is my absolute favourite song off the album. I really don't have much to say about it though....

Overall - 5/5 stars... I was really impressed!

Before I move on, I hope Himchan's hand gets better as quickly as possible. I hope he (or any of them) haven't been straining themselves with this dance. As awesome as it is, he shouldn't rush back into it right after an injury.

Speaking of dances, VIXX's On and On live version...AMAZING. THE DANCING IS SPOT ON, THE CONTACTS ARE SUPER SEXY, AND THEIR STAGE PRESENCE IS SOMETHING I'M JEALOUS OF. PLUS PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. I especially like this dance because in dance class a few years ago I had to do that same zombie move. x) That is all.

And now, on to what I really came here to talk about, my dream boys, SHINee!!!

A few days ago they released the first part of their Dream Girl saga- Dream Girl- Misconceptions Of You. The second chapter, (Dream Girl- Misconceptions Of Me) will be released in April. AND they are releasing a Japanese single (entitled Fire) in March. HAPPY 2013, SHAWOLS!

Spoiler - This Sherlock intro will get me confused. But I'm not complaining. This song is very cool considering it really is a spoiler for the second album, as the track titles are revealed through the lyrics. How cool. The chorus sounds so freaking awesome! Their voices, the music, everything just fits! The preview in the highlight medley did not do this song justice! I did not expect to love it as much as I do! I hope they perform it live some day soon. AND CAN I JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO APPRECIATE HOW MUCH TAEMIN AND MINHO ARE SINGING THESE DAYS. ESPECIALLY TAEMIN. YOU DESERVE IT, DON'T LET ANYONE TELL ANY OF YOU OTHERWISE.

Dream Girl - I don't know what "acid electro funk" is, but I think I like it. The music video is super cool, and kind of makes sense with the song! THANK YOU, SM! Oh, and special mention to Taemin's PENCIL PANTS. I need to do a nail design based on those. Over Easter I think I will! The dance is one of my favourites... It's not the same as any of their other dances as they have never really used a prop like this before, but they are doing an outstanding job! During the live version they are still working that microphone stand! AND ONEW DIDN'T DROP IT DURING HIS TWIRL, BLESS HIM. IN FACT BLESS ALL OF THEM BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE DROPPED IT AFTER EVERY MOVE. It's not the same as Lucifer or Sherlock, but it is one of my favourite dances from them. AND SHINEE AND THAT PONY FOR THE PHOTO SHOOT. MINHO IS A PONY WHISPERER. THAT WAS TOO PRECIOUS. My favourite part of the song would probably be Minho's little "yes~", I just smile every time I hear it.

Hitchhiking - This song sounds very SHINee? I don't know what to say... I really like it, and I have no complaints.... The verses are my favourite parts.... The chorus sounds very SHINee, not that I'm complaining. Seriously, I really don't have much to say here. And yes, SHINee, I do "like it like that". ;)

Punch Drunk Love - Not my favourite song. It sounds very 80s? I wasn't born in that time, and I haven't heard a lot of 80s music, so this I'm getting from other people's opinions. It's not a bad song, but it isn't my favourite. The vocals are amazing as always though. Not much else to say....

Girls Girls Girls - Another song that isn't really my favourite. It's very cute though. And I'm happy because I have a song called Boys Boys Boys on my iPod, so now I have this to match it. They are completely different, though. But I saw this post on tumblr saying how they wanted an mv for this song of the rest of SHINee showing Taemin how to get a girl. (not that he needs help, he just needs to walk out of his room and they will come running, believe me) Anyways, now I can't stop thinking about how cute that would be, and I'm dying to see it!! My favourite part of this song is Minho's rap... It just sound so bubblegum rainbow in-love vision, if you understand that.

Aside - From the time I heard the snippet from SHINee's Wonderful Day, I knew I would love this song. It reminded me of TTBY and Reply 1997 all mixed up into one! Very OST-esque. I LOVE IT. It makes me feel so happy, and it is so cute! As much as I like SHINee's grown up image, their cute songs will always have a special place in my heart (and ipod!). Speaking of kdramas, I started School 2013, but I can't focus on it properly. I think I'll watch Boys Over Flowers instead.

Beautiful - Some people said this sounds like Dream Girl, but I don't hear it? They performed this one live (although if I had a say I would have chosen a different song, but that's okay). The dance was standard SHINee cute stuff, perfect for this song. I like Minho's rap here too... basically this is just a really great time for Minho's raps....keep them up!

Dynamite - From the highlight medley I had a good feeling about this song. It is very powerful compared to the others! (honestly I thought Fire would sound more like this song, but whatever, it's still great). I want to see this one live too! It makes me feel to dance. Can I bring up Taemin singing a lot these days again? Because you don't know how much I appreciate this.

Runaway - FINALLY MY FAVOURITE SONG OFF THE ALBUM. The chorus is just too cute!! "Hey love let's run away~" was stuck in my head ALL DAY. Oh if only I could really run away with them, but I guess that's only in my dreams. No wonder this is on the Dream Girl album >_> But I can still hope? I wanted them to perform this live so badly BUT THEY DIDN'T. T^T WHY, SHINEE, WHY???? Hearing you sing this live would be the death of me though! They saved the best for last here, obviously.

Can I please ask them how they remember a complete dance from 2008? I barely remember dances I learnt in 2011... :|

Overall - FUCKING SHINEE'S BACK/YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN DREAMING OF THIS I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH I WANT TO CRY

So, until Fire release...and then April ^_^ (and who knows they'll probably have another Japanese release so HERE'S TO BEING A SHAWOL WHERE 2013 IS BASICALLY CHRISTMAS EVERY MONTH EXCEPT BETTER BECAUSE SHINEE > SANTA CLAUS [no offence!])

SHINEE'S BACK AND THEY'RE IN THE HOUSE, YOU GUYS.

Those Little Things

Posted by Unknown at 14:48 0 comments
Hello~ Today I'm here to express my new found appreciation for some things most of us really don't think about.

This weekend I went on my very first two day hike, and I must say it was way better than I expected. It was a road hike, and it didn't rain during the day, so there were no accidents.

On Saturday morning we had to meet at a school for 6am. That meant I had to wake up at 4am =.= On Friday night I barely got six hours of sleep, but that was better than nothing. I got to the school at about 5:30, but I was one of the first people to reach. So, I waited for about fifteen minutes until my friends started to come. At about 6 our leaders checked our ration kits and first aid kits. As is customary for President's, this took the majority of an hour to complete.

Since there were limited leaders present, Alex had to hike with both Slackers (my group) and Heights. I knew Alex was kind of weird, but over the weekend I found out he was just plain crazy. On Saturday he wasn't really with us most of the time since Heights ended up behind us so he went to see what they were doing. Basically we were by ourselves for most of the hike. Luckily for us this was a road hike, so whenever we almost got lost (or thought we did at least) we just asked whoever was around.

We hiked from half seven to about half two. I think we would have finished quicker without all the breaks (but they were much needed), the swim in the river we passed (which was also much needed), and the fact that Christian (a boy in my group) forgot his knife at the river and only realised one & a half kms later.

Oh! And how can I forget the fact that Christian and Luke (who's in Heights) decided to collect glass bottles in hopes of trading them in for some marshmallows. They collected three bags full, and actually got a place to take them! That was the most shocking part for the leaders, who were just laughing the whole time. But they ended up getting little heart-shaped marshmallows, so they were quite happy.

After some begging, we were given permission to share tents with our friends instead of our groups. After trying three different tents (as the pole lengths were not suitable for the ones they gave us), we finally got a brand new tent. They didn't even let us put that tent onto the ground. Seconds after we put it up all the leaders bombarded it and refused to leave. I was honestly concerned they weren't going to leave, because that's just something they would do.

Cooking was relatively easy. This group was much better at starting a fire than my last group. We made hotdogs for dinner with some pasta that didn't taste too good.

AND OMG THERE WAS A HORSE AND IT WAS HUGE I WAS AS TALL AS ITS BUTT.

After dinner we had to go bathe IN THE DARK. The line for the girls was super long because some assholes decided to wash their hair and take forever to change. Some girls were so fed up they ended up bathing with the hose. Most of the boys bathed with the hose, save the few who waited until the leaders were finished bathing to use the showers. NONE OF THE BATHROOMS/SHOWERS HAD ANY LIGHTS. I didn't realise how much I'd miss that. I didn't even mind the freezing cold water as much as I minded the lack of lights. President's really does teach you to appreciate those little things!

Then we had "Talk Tent", which is when everyone comes together and each group has to perform something. Because all of us were totally unprepared, we got front support. At 10:30pm. In our pajamas. I was so exhausted I thought I would drop down. Anyways, after that we managed to pull together something (and of course one group just had to do Gangnam Style -.-). My group told a not so scary not so true story and then we sang Jingle Bells. And yes, it was as lame as it sounds.

I fell asleep way easier than I thought I would. I was just that exhausted. The boys tried to pull pranks on the girls and each other, but the leaders caught them. But they did manage to wake almost everybody up at 2 and say it was 4. I woke up at 3 and couldn't figure out why there was so much noise.

At 4 the first thing I did (once I finally willed myself to leave the tent) was go brush my teeth since I didn't the night before (don't blame me!). I went with three of my friends in my class, and since it was dark we turned off our flashlights and peed in front of each other. And here I thought I lost all my shame in form 1.

Speaking of flashlights, I'm not a big fan of using them for long periods of time. I need to get used to this.

All the groups started making breakfast and lunch kind of late, so no one finished much by 7. My group halfway toasted 8 slices of bread, and we ate that with raw sausages. We had the same thing for lunch (minus the toasted part. There were fruit cocktails, however!) We had a mini church service before we left, and we began our hike at 8:30.

This day was much shorter, as we finished at 1:30. We didn't have as many stops this time, and Heights and my group hiked together since Alex said he didn't feel like running between us. Alex was nice enough to buy us water and 1 bottle of coke (which we had to share). We deserved it considering he always takes our snacks.

THE BEST PART of that day though-

This guy was giving us directions or telling us if he saw another group or something, and then all of a sudden he said "Aye, smalls"

(the smallest person in our group was Luke, and I still think that's who he was talking to)

And he continued-

"My name is Orwin. I like to win, and I would love to win your heart."

WELL THAT WAS OUR ONLY TOPIC OF CONVERSATION FOR THE NEXT TEN MINUTES. After we walked quickly away from Orwin, we could not stop laughing. Luke literally would not shut up about it.

The rest of the hike was pretty uneventful, but my group was the first one to finish and I literally begged the leaders to let me leaver since my parents were already there. Luckily I dumped the tent on someone else and left first.

Last week I was freaking out over this hike, but as always I overreacted and thought too much into it. It was way better than I expected (even though I couldn't walk properly until Tuesday), and I wouldn't mind doing it again. Dropping out is still at the back of my mind, however, but we'll see how this goes.
