Bonjour New Year~

I've been meaning to post for a while but I keep getting distracted.

Anyways, I just want to say happy new year to anyone reading this. I hope it will be better than 2012. Not that 2012 was particularly bad for me, but some things could have gone better. But I still believe everything happened for a reason, so let's hope the reason is a good one.

This night went by so quickly in my opinion. I've been extending new year's greetings since 11am to those in Asia, so it doesn't really feel so....you know....right now. Personally I'm a little sleepy- I woke up at 8am to order Kamijo's rose ring.

Speaking of Kamijo, THAT CALENDAR. THERE'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SHOWER SCENE. I NEED IT IN MY HANDS. DON'T YOU KNOW I'M BROKE, KAMIJO??
Oh! I got an email from his fanmail address concerning the 1/26 event (and even though I can't go due to me living across the freaking ocean) that email still made my day simply because of the little new year's greeting at the beginning!! I smile like an idiot every time I think of it. I want to go so badly T^T

My resolution for this new year is to actually stretch every day, because I really need to become more flexible. Hopefully I'll be able to keep this one, but we'll see how it goes.

So, happy new year, work hard, enjoy the time you have, watch new tv shows... Enjoy it!

Merry Christmas! Although I'm still not feeling very Christmas-y... I still think that's because I haven't seen Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer properly for the season. How sad...

I felt more Christmas-y in October than I do right now.

Anyways, this year my mom actually let us open our gifts at 12, before we went to sleep. I was deeply shocked. I swear we had a remote control helicopter convention at our house tonight, lol.

I actually didn't feel like eating much tonight (and that was my only meal for the day). It reminded me of the good old days of me hating to chew. Not that I stopped or anything.

I just finished watching Chateau de Versailles -Holy Grail- for the FIRST TIME EVER. AND OH MY GOD WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT. FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS GIFT RIGHT HERE. UGH YOU PERFECT BAND YOU.

Moving on, it is currently 4:41am, and this is about the time we're usually waking our parents up to open gifts. Christmas is so strange this year. But I still have to go by my dad later and deal with all my family, so at least some things never change...

Anyways, I hope you guys have a happy "MERRY FUCK'IN CHRISTMAS". Stay safe, eat lots, avoid your relatives, and LISTEN TO WHITENESS.

Thank You, Versailles

So, the day has finally come. Versailles' final live will be in a few hours. I am not good with expressing feelings through writing (or words for that matter), and now I feel as though my entire vocabulary has left me. I honestly cannot begin to thank you guys enough.

Early 2011, I became interested in the magical world of JRock. It started out with GACKT, and it kind of escalated from there. Through a Malice Mizer video, I found this:

I watched it, and my initial reaction was basically "meh".

I knew they were talented, and the song sounded really good to me, but it just didn't capture my interest very much. (mind you I was still super obsessed with JPop so that should explain it)

Not too long after, I came across another one of their videos:


Once again I liked it, but I was very skeptical about an eight minute song.

And then, I found it.
The one video that changed everything.
The song that changed my life.
I found it.



After listening to this song it was safe to say I was in love.
This contained everything I valued in a song at the time: a nice voice, short, catchy chorus. It was prefect!

So I did some exploring and fell deeper and deeper into this web of roses, and I loved every minute of it. I became attached to them, learnt their stories, admired them whole-heartedly. I slowly became a part of their fandom, and I was welcomed with open arms.

This fandom....wow. Yes, Roses have arguments and differences and fights and butthurt people, but the fact that we all adore these men so much just makes me so happy. Happy enough to forget just how stupid some people can really be.

Versailles have shown me the true meaning of beauty; they have shown me how to see the beauty that is all around me. They have given me a new interest in roses. I was introduced the Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice. They have also introduced me to many other talented bands/performers. I owe them so much.

They have become my role models. They have inspired me to work harder to achieve my dream. They help me sleep at night. They make my days a lot less sucky.

I can't imagine my life without you.

Yes, I will miss you greatly, but I will not lose faith. You said this is a hiatus, and so that is what I believe. I know you will come back to us one day. I will be patient. And when you do come back, I will welcome you with open arms. I trust in your judgement when it comes to decisions like these, and I know you want what's best for your fans.

So until we meet again, just know that I miss you, I'm thinking of you always, and I love you. I can't wait to see you again. Maybe then I can finally meet you all in person to show you my gratitude? I look forward to the day.

Back in August I began watching the Korean drama "To The Beautiful You". This decision was made mainly because Minho (from SHINee) starred in it. However, due to this slow Internet speed I have here and my obsession with Trauma Team that month, I only got to episode 4 before school started. Then I had too much going on to start watching it again.

But, school finished for the year on Thursday, so on Friday I continued where I left off. Surprisingly I remembered more or less everything that happened in episodes 1-3.

And now it's Sunday (actually 12:28am on Monday) and I've finished the series! I know with Minho & Sulli's busy schedules it was impossible for this show to be incredibly long, but for a 16 episode show a lot of shit went down!! By the way, are kdramas usually this short? This was literally the first one I watched, but I do plan to watch more (BECAUSE PERFECTION).

Because the actual series was so short, a whole lot happened in each episode! I experienced so many different feelings in one hour! Plus everything was fast paced and useless things didn't drag on, which I greatly appreciated.

Since this was my first ever kdrama, I'll give this 5/5 stars. Not only was the plot great (kudos to whoever wrote the manga, I'll definitely check that out one day), the acting was very believable! Plus this gave me a newfound love of Minho (not that I didn't love him before). Once again my bias list is screwed up. Taemin is still at the top though, so it's all good. Moving on,
CUTEST NEW OTP ALERT!!!

Seriously, Tae Joon and Jae Hee were so adorable together!! Even though it kind of pissed me off when they just wouldn't tell each other the complete truth!! And obviously Jae Hee pissed me off as is the case with all my otps, not to mention I'm already Minho-biased. But seriously, I'm pretty sure this pairing is my cutest CANON otp though. I just love them so much!!!

Um, one question though, are school uniforms in Korea really so any-how? I wish my school was so liberal with our uniforms! The girls uniform (I really don't know the name of the school) was cute in my opinion. The pink looked really nice.

Speaking of the girls, Han Na really grew on me. Basically I hated her, then I sort of liked her, then I hated her again, and then I started liking her again. I wish we saw her do an entire gymnastics routine. I love the colour of her phone and her pillows and room and pen and all that girly stuff. The main reason I want to go to Korea is to get stuff like that, lol. Like that cube alarm clock Tae Joon had, so cool! And the hair accessories! Oh, the hair accessories.

Oh, and DEM SHORTS. Minho's legs are so wonderful, I never really noticed them before. AND HIS ARMS TOO. Plus he looks amazing in a suit!! And when he smiles with his backpack on (or off) he looks like a little kid omg! AND DEM ABS.

I've listened to the ost for this show so many times this weekend I'll be singing it in my sleep for the rest of my vacation. For obvious reasons Taemin's "U" was one of my favourites, but I really love J-Min's "Stand Up" too. But it was pointed out by someone on tumblr that it sounds exactly like Avril Lavigne's "Take Me Away". Seriously, go listen to them. I don't know what's up with that...

Special mention to Yoogeun and Julien Kang who guest starred and were great! Plus Julien Kang's English (and suits!!) -added bonus right there.

Also special mention to Eun Gyul's newer haircut because wow. Hair really does matter a lot...



Now onto the distressing part...
THE ENDING
Why was it 1 year later? Why not 1 week?? Why didn't they tell me what happened next? Did they stay happy like that forever?? Did they stay in the same country??? Why was there no epilogue!!!! Not that the ending was bad or anything, it just left me feeling empty. I DID NOT SPEND MY ENTIRE WEEKEND WAITING FOR SOME SUPPOSED HAPPY ENDONG LIKE THAT WHATEVER IT WAS GOD. It's so weird seeing Sulli as a girl now omg.

The only real issue I had with this series is the fact that no one figured out Jae Hee was a girl unless it was spelt out for them? It's not as of she was so incredibly manly or anything... I can't believe they couldn't tell at least by her voice! Even when she was singing!!

Here's where I watched this show. You should watch it too if you haven't!!
